Tom Schubert honored as CFO of the Year/Community Service Award

If you are around Tom Schubert for any length of time, you can’t miss his boundless energy, sharp insights and dedication to the cause.

tom with signHe brings those traits to bear in so much of what he does, and so it was a well-deserved surprised when Tom was named by the Philadelphia Business Journal as CFO of the Year/Community Service Award.

Tom was among an impressive group CFOs from the region who were honored at a noontime banquet July 11 at the Wanamaker Crystal Team Room in Philadelphia.

Tom joined PBP as CFO in 1999, when PBP was solely a B2B newsletter publishing company. He helped PBP evolve into a diversified digital marketing and information company.

Along with Founder and CEO Ed Satell, Tom helped launch 11 new start-up divisions from 2002 to 2012. In that time, he also was named COO.

As part of his extensive Community Service work, Tom has served more than 13 years as a mentor for at-risk students.

He served as a board member for Junior Achievement of Delaware Valley for the past nine years and on Drexel University’s MBA Career Services advisory countil for five years.

Tom also dedicates time to coaching youth soccer for West Chester United Soccer Club and St. Agnes Middle School.
